Job Description

  1. Facilitate implementation of a wide variety of landscape installation projects including but not limited to: brush removal, bed preparation and other site work, plantings, walkways and patios (clay and concrete pavers, flagstone, fieldstone, gravel, organic mulches), decks and pergolas, fencing, retaining walls (wood, natural stone or concrete segmented wall systems), soil grading and drainage, fine raking, and seeding, culture stone construction, low voltage lighting, ornamental pond, waterfall and stream construction and other duties as requested.
  2. Employee must be able to lift up to 80# repeatedly throughout the day as needed
  3. Employee must be able to use tools of the trade and entire day (shovel, rake, pickax, loaded wheelbarrows, etc.)
  4. Employee must be able to drive truck standard transmission without assistance
  5. Employee must have their own transportation to and from work
  6. Employee must have a clean drivers license
  7. Employee must provide their own personal hand tools and equipment in an approved carrying case on a daily basis. Tools to include but not limited to 25’ tape measure, pencil, cutting instrument, (box cutter, jackknife, etc) gloves, hammer, tool belt, safety glasses, ear plugs
  8. Employee must provide their own weather protection gear (hat, raincoat, approved work boots, coats, gloves, etc.)
  9. Employee must be willing to take instruction, take responsibility for and learn the proper use and care of all procedures, tools and equipment necessary in normal day to day operations. Employee must be willing to attend training seminars when requested, LMG may cover some or all expenses for said training depending on circumstances.
  10. Employee must bring their lunch daily. Daily mandatory lunch is 30 minutes. There will be no leaving the job site for food or other refreshments.
  11. Employee is responsible for keeping their own accurate daily job time sheets. Time begins at that employees assigned “in” time either at the shop driving equipment back to shop, then the driver is paid until arrival at the preferred driver. One-half hour per day is deducted for lunch. Completed leaving the shop for the job site. Failure to turn in accurate or complete time tabulation of hours is grounds for immediate dismissal.
  12. Employee must request time off for approval from their immediate supervisor. All time off must be duly noted on daily job hours.
  13. Wear clean shirts (no holes, appropriate length and style pants, appropriate work boots
  14. Attend safety meetings
  15. No personal cell phones carried or used on the job
